Grateful Moment
I'm grateful for Hugs from Chad
We have lived in this house about 11 years. I love our yard. I love planting flowers and mowing and I even enjoy pulling weeds. When we moved in the 2 trees in the front were relatively small. Over the years they have grown so big. I love how they shade our front yard while the kids are playing with the neighbor kids. I love the colors they turn each fall. The kids love playing in the leaves when they have fallen.
And that brings up the subject for this post.
Since Hubby works so hard and works odd hours I do most of the yard work. Yes there are days that he is home and I ask him to do it but for the most part I take care of the yard. This year was nice because Carsyn was earning money so he mowed most of the summer but still I usually manage it. Every fall when my lovely trees drop their leaves I get the 1 rake we own and get to work. It takes all day to rake and bag all of the leaves. Again I always just do it and rarely complain because I really do enjoy the outside work. I do try to get the kids to help but lets face it, that is just more work.
So this year I was VERY pregnant and I told Hubby that this year I'm not planning to do it so he needs to plan for it. He gladly accepted.....
Then went and bought a leaf blower......
And then made the kids do most of it...
So the other day I posted on my blog, fb and Instagram the same picture (see pic In previous post). I got the post from a Facebook post that my older sister had shared and I agreed with it. Shortly after I posted it I txted this to my husband
The post wasn't geared at anyone specifacally (ok well maybe a few people on Facebook but let's all be honest we all have people on our fb list that annoy us). And sure enough the post (just as predicted) got me into trouble.
Ohwell lesson learned
I saw this on Fb today and I shared it on my status. It pretty much says it. for these reasons (and several more) are why I'm not on the "Social Media Band Wagon" much anymore.
This must be the new way to watch your favorite show.
I just wanted to let you know that I learned a new piano piece. I think I'm actually pretty good at it. I've worked hard on it. I know I'll never be as good as you, and I'll probably never play at church, but I'm proud of this one and I hope you are too. I know you've been listening to me play it. I wish you could tell me what you think. I have that "Love at Home" duet that you and I use to play in Sacrament meeting. I wonder if I will ever be good enough to play that with Carsyn. I'll pull it out and see.
Miss you tons.
Sometimes Sundays are just hard for everyone. Especially with time changes. It throws everyone off.
Ok so not really. Back when Chad and I first met we worked together. We helped each other in our area's, we worked the same shift, car pooled, and ate lunch together. We loved it. There were times though when sometimes he had to work and I was off so I would sneak down to work and follow him around (maybe work off the clock a little to help him along). When kids started to come along that got harder to do since I wasn't working anymore. But he was able to come home for lunch breaks and sometimes I even took all the kids down for his breaks. Well since for the last 3 years he has had such a LONG commute to work those perks have pretty much disappeared. Chad is still on nights (boo) but the last few weeks have been super rough on him. He hasn't been sleeping between his shifts. So I've been driving him to work. Yup all the way to work turn around to come home then go pick him up. I would rather do this and spend the extra gas money then for him to fall asleep at the wheel. Anyway so last night I drove him to work but I didn't come straight home. Carsyn was a big help and put his brothers to bed and I got to hang out with Hubby at work. It was fun to follow him around, watch him move pallets, and boss people around. Everyone kept asking him if I was a manager that he was training (maybe a blue shirt wasn't the best choice to wear) it was so fun.
Sometimes I miss working with him. it was a great bonding thing for us.
Love that man so much and all of the sacrifices he does for our family.
