Who needs the out doors?

I don't have to take the kids for a walk. They love the treadmill ha ha. Carsyn loves it so much he volunteered it to be part of his home work time so we now have a 30 min PE block added to his time. My kids are weird, they like fruits, vegetables, exercising, reading, I'm pretty sure they were adopted.

Quiet Mornings.

So this morning.......The boys started getting up at 6am, but since I have a wonderful hubby, he got up with them. I ended up rolling out of bed around 7:30. Carsyn already had homework started the 2 little ones were still poking around with breakfast. I did a few little things here and there, got the little ones dressed when they were finished. But then around 9:30 I looked around and thought to myself..."The kids are being good, it's a quiet morning, not much to do today, Chad pretty much has things under control."
So.......
I went back to bed until 11:00!

I am officially done nursing (until the next one comes, and no this is NOT an announcement) Baby hasn't nursed since last Thursday night. There is at least 1 good thing and one bad thing. The good thing is hopefully he will start sleeping better at night since he wont be waking up to nurse (that is what happened with #2) the bad thing though, now that I'm finished nursing I don't have a good excuse not to diet.

Reading Time.

As everyone knows Carsyn LOVES to read. We have to take his books away at 10pm when we catch him reading in the dark. He reads books that are 100+ pages in just a day or 2 We have to go to the library pretty often. Well Right now Corbyn copy's EVERYTHING Carsyn does. It can be quite cute at times, and quite annoying at other times. I saw this the other day, it's hard to see but Carsyn has his book and Corbyn also has a book. They were just laying in the doorway hanging out with a book. It made me smile.
P.S.
Please ignore the mess ;)

Blessing and a Curse!

So, I consider myself to be a "crafter" I may not be the best in the world, I may not come up with "all" my own ideas. But the fact is, I can craft. But is it always a good thing?....NOPE! don't get me wrong I LOVE my hobby/job but it is EXPENSIVE. I'm sitting here thinking up some great ideas in my head and believe me they are going to be great. However the downfall is to buy the supplies I need a lot of pennies. And since Chad and I have made the commitment to not spend any extra I have to wait a long time to be able to put them in the budget...ARGE! I do have other things I could be doing. I have about 20 baby blankets that need to be put together and there's always scrap booking and card making. But the ideas in my head are driving me nuts. and I can't get them out until the budget allows. oh well I suppose.

Hint~ Maybe if some of my blog readers would head over to my creations site and buy something I could save up a little faster. Don't forget I do customize lol.

Chad is off for the next 3 days. Whew! I was to the end of my rope with the boys this week. I told Chad he is in charge. Hopefully 3 days will be enough time to recharge my batteries to make it through the next 3 days he is at work..

New territory!

Ok, So Chad and I are doing SOOO good. WE did our yearly budget and set our yearly goals. We've been on track for 10 days!!!! Something we started to do different this year with our grocery budget is, when I plan my monthly menu I only plan 15 meals instead of 30. We make freezer meals with the left overs so on lazy days that we don't want to cook instead of going out we just eat one of those. so this should help our grocery budget to go down. And last fall we started getting a little bit of food storage from the church store house. One of the biggest complaints I've heard about food storage is nobody knows how to cook with it or what to even make. Well I got this cook book last year from the RS ans it is SOOO awesome. we made home made from scratch bean burritos for dinner last night. I had everything on hand to make the tortilla's and everything. they were so yummy. It's a pretty big deal that we haven't been out to eat for 10 days. the goal isn't to "never" go out again. The goal is simply 1 month. Just to show ourselves that we can do it. Yes we have money budgeted for us to go out but that isn't the point. It's a habit we're trying to break. So YEAH us. We're pretty excited about this year. This year will be "Our" year. We can do it!

Home Schooling

Chad and I are always answering questions as to why we home school Carsyn. For us it was something we just thought we wanted. Then as Carsyn was growing we knew that our early decision to home school was the best option for Carsyn. Maybe a charter school would be good for him but right now we still feel we are doing the right thing.
We also get questions about like "what about high school diploma" or "testing" or "how do we know he's learning the right things". Well I'm going to tell you now. We prayed about the home school program we use. I've added a link to my blog so you can learn for yourself. I encourage anyone who might be having thoughts about home schooling or not happy with your current methods to please research this program. We couldn't be happier.

Failed to mention

S I forgot to mention the funny thing Corbyn did when he got up this morning. Chad was in the shower and I was still laying on the air matress when Corbyn woke up. He got off the couch saying he wanted a piece of paper I thought that was a rather odd request so Chad got him some paper so then he asked for a pencil. Ok? so then he gets up to the table Chad wrote his name on the top. Corbyn did a little scribble then got down and wanted help to hang it on the fridge...LOL...I just thought it was so funny he had only been awake for seconds when he started asking for it and he isn't one to want to draw all the time. Usually only when Carsyn is. And here I though, After such a rough night last night I figured he wouldn't want to do anything today.

Long Evening.

So Last night around 6pm the boys and I sat down for dinner but before Corbyn could even take 1 bite he threw up everywhere. It's always a compliment when someone pukes at the dinner table. Anyway he continued to puke every 10-15 min for the next 4 hours. I gave him some ginger tea and some 7up neither one stayed down. finally around 10pm he fell alseep on the couch. However was up 3 more times puking before midnight. Since I had made him a bed on the couch Chad and I slept on the air matress. Just before midnight he fell alseep again and I got to sleep for about an hour but then Cole started in on his nightly routine. ugh I wish he would sleep thru the night.
Corbyn did manage to sleep until about 6:30 this morning and has not puked yet. He seems to be feeling better. He has been drinking powerade this morning but I had to take it away because he is chugging it and I didn't want another upset tummy. I will let him sip that thru out the day with some tea and such. but hopefully it was just a fluke thing.
I think the hard part about today will be I have a RS planning meeting here tonight so I have to clean the house and do Carsyn's home work while looking and feeling like a zombie.
