A bit of good news

So when Chad and I made the descisson to move to CO the question as to what to do with our dog has been heavily on our mind. We made the choice to go ahead and bring him with us and if we couldn't find a place to live that would let us keep him we will find a home for him and give him away. Well Chad didn't like that idea because he really likes the dog. So while we lived with Jeff and Lori he stayed with us but then we found our apartment and it had everything we needed in an aprt. except for a pet. So Gideon stayed at Jeffs and we've been trying to find a new home for him. Well while we were in Idaho Our building got a new owner so we thought "it wouldn't hurt to ask" And our new landlord took his time but he came over this morning to let us know we could bring the dog! We've had a lot of prayers answerd with this move. We're greatful to Jeff and Lori for opening their home to us and being patient with the dog. And I think we're now just about all moved out lol. We still have a few things in their back yard but that will be gone in the next few day's then they can get back to normal.

Missing Child!

Ok so funny story. Last night when Chad got off work we had some running around to do. The boys bed time is at 8pm and normally if Corbyn doesn't take a nap he goes to bed at 7:30 well yesterday he didn't have a nap and we didn't get done with our running around until about 9pm. By the time we got the boys in bed it was about 9:30. Corbyn was so tired that while we were in the car I turned and asked him if he was ready for night night. He looked at me with sad liitle eyes and shook his head yes. And right now his favorite word is NO! so for him to say yes he must have been tired. Anyway We got home and got jammies and he went straight to bed by his own choice. Well when Chad went to check on the boys a little later he was gone (by the way he has a toddler bed now). He wasn't in his room or in Carsyn's. We find him in our room between the wall and the bed laying on the floor 1/2 asleep and whimpering. Chad picked him up and put him back in bed and he rolled over and went right to sleep. It was really cute.

Too Big Too Fast!

ARGH! I hate how they grow so fast. It's only been 2 weeks and he's already so big. But he sure is a cutie pie. I still can't believe how much different he looks from my other new born babies. Cole is definitely more blond and he just has a different look about him. But it's so strange because every one say's he looks just like his brothers, or he looks just like his Dad. But how can he look like Dad when the other boys did and he looks nothing like the other boys? Ohwell I think all my Boys are handsome just the same as their Dad :)

Grandma "Retta" and the boys

Grandma Lauretta was so excited when she found out we would be in SLC at the same time. She came to the hotel and visited for a while and got to meet Cole. The boys Love G-ma so much. Especially Carsyn. Corbyn on the other hand doesn't like anyone however every once in a while he'll sneak in some loves.

He's here!

Cole Eryx Jacobsen 8lbs 14 oz 21.5 inches long He came on Feb 4th at 1:41 am. Everything went really smooth and really fast. My water broke about 12:10 so we went to the baby place I started contracting about 1:15 then here he was after only 2 min of pushing. Cole so far has been a ver content little guy. When he is awake he just lays there looking around. the only time he cries is when we change his diaper using cold wipes. The other boys seem to love him. Corbyn is even doing better then I thought. My recover has been strange. The first few days I felt GREAT. We were shopping, running around, trying to get the trailer loaded, going out. But then Sat night it hit and I knew I had over done it. The drive to SLC was really hard as soon as we got to the hotel I took a bath and went to bed. Monday morning was better I felt ok until about the last 100 miles of the trip. Then we got home and I got a fever and an infection which I still have 2 days later. So we'll give it a few more days and see what happens. I haven't done anything since we've been home. So anyway. He is finally here. It was a very stressful monthwith twist and turns, but we're home and Chad said considering everything we would do it again because the Baby Place was such a great expiriance. We recomend it to everyone.

No Baby yet!

Ok well, I'm here in Idaho just hanging out at my Aunts house. THings are going good with the pregnancy. I've been a little sore from the drve up last week but I don't have much longer. I will be 39 weeks on the 19th. Chad comes back up on the 27th and we're praying that the baby comes during that week (the day of the 27th would be the best day!) I will let you know when the baby comes until then I hope everyone has a great day!

FYI

Just wanted to post a quick note. Chad and I moved out of Jeff and Lori's house into our own apartment. It's nice to have our own space again. We don't have internet access right now. We're talking about getting it but also don't want to spend the extra monthly funds right now. so we may just sneek into Jeff and Lori's when they aren't home to use theirs LOL. I know I already don't post as much as I should so with this delay it will probably be even less. On another note, next week Chad is driving me up tp Idaho to stay at my aunts house until I deliver the baby. So depending on her internet source maybe I can get on then. When things alll settle down a bit after the baby I will post an update about everything but until then please be patient.

Thanks again for all of your love, support and friendship through all of these changes in the Jacobsen household. It has really helped me be able to handle everything.

I wish you all a safe and happy new year!

Ornaments instructions

I noticed a couple of you asked so Here is what I did..
I got the square ornaments last season at my Faovrite craft store The Hobby Center in Nampa (it's on Garrity) I took a small sponge paint brush and painted on modge podge coating the whole ornament except a small circle on one side for the face. I then rolled it in Twinklets Diamond Dust I also got that at the Hobby center. It's differant then glitter becasue it looks more like chunky broken glass. The face was a little tricky. I couldn't find beads that were flat on one side so I went to Hobby Lobby here, and I found a sheet of self adhehive crystals It's call "say it in Crystals" It has all sorts of sizes of crystals this particular sheet was swirls. It's just a scrapbooking embelishment (let me know if you want more infor about them and I will send a picture) Then for the nose. I thought "orange glitter" but I couldn't even find any of that so I took Stampin Up's Dazzling diamonds glitter and the only orange re-inker and made my own orange glitter. I took a tooth pick and dipped it in modge podge and "drew" the nose then put the orange glitter on for the nose. The just added the red ribbon. It sounds harder then it really is and only took a few min to make 4.
Enjoy!!!

My 2008 Jacobsen Family Ornament

I make a family ornament every Christmas season. This is the one I did this year. I'm just in LOVE with the way it turned out. Sometimes I get annoyed though. I only make 1 ornament (well 1 design but 1 for each member) but as I shop around getting the stuff I get so many ideas and it it so hard to choose. Then I say well I'll do this one this year and that one next year but then the same thing happens next year lol.

Christmas is my favorite time of year. I love decorating my house and counting my blessings and celabrating the season. This year has been really hard for me since we don't have our own space. We did go to the storage unit and I got a few ornaments and a small tree that I have and we decorated it and put it on the dresser. But at least I can still count my blessings and celabrate the season for what it truly is.
